JULIA

My name is Julia Oystrick and I am 15 years old. I started dancing when I was 3, and am now part of the Happiness is Dancing competitive senior team. I am privileged to be a Dance by aKaiserPhoto Ambassador for the second year in a row. It's been a great experience and I would recommend it for anyone considering doing it. 

Throughout my dancer career I have experienced many amazing moments. Some of my favourites were competing with team Canada in Portugal in 2019, winning the “One Shot” National title in 2015 and 2020, as well as auditioning and being invited to the National Ballet of Canada's summer program, which I was unfortunately unable to attend due to Covid-19. Outside of dance I have won numerous academic awards as my academic career is something very important to me. One of my bigger goals is to run my own business and to focus my post secondary education on helping me be successful with that. 

I am thrilled to be a Dance by aKaiserPhoto ambassador again this year. The pictures I have been given through this experience are meaningful keepsakes that I can look back on in the future. Dance has changed my life for the better and I am thankful for the time I get to spend with my dance friends and family. Also, I am especially thankful for the time I can spend in the studio with Mike and Brittany. It is always a fun experience and they challenge me to grow as a dancer!
