Hello, I’m Alexis! I’m 16 years old, and I’m a senior competitive dancer at Spotlight Dance Company. I started dancing at the age of 5, and as I grew older, I absolutely fell in love with the art form. I dance because it allows me to express myself and escape reality. Whether it’s performing at a competition or freestyling in my living room, there’s no better feeling than dancing!

I’ve trained in many different styles over the past 11 years, including jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, acro, and jazz funk. My favourite style is definitely tap, but I also LOVE jazz and lyrical! Although not all styles are my favourite, I do think that it’s important to try new things and experiment in all styles as a dancer. 

I decided to apply for the ambassador program because dance photos are something I will cherish forever! As I grow older, I know I will be so grateful to have captured these moments of me doing what I love. Doing so with the most talented photography duo around is a bonus! I feel honoured to represent Dance by aKaiserPhoto! I admire every photo I’ve taken with them so far, and can’t wait to take more in the future!
